Out on Vernon a couple of weeks ago looking for horns, we did not shoot it. Editor: Not sure what to make of this. Tame perhaps?  Interesting anyway. Thanks Brent!

SIAMESE PIKE CAUGHT AT COONEY DAM. (ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF BILLINGS.) Thanks Brent!

Here's the answer to an age old question!

IN MINNESOTA  THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO FISH
AND THEN THERE ARE  FISHERMEN

I was going to build the Gazebo on the edge of my dock down by the lake but I thought I might just as well build the deck with floats on it and I can then take it out fishing too. Has 15,000# capacity. The deck is 18ft x 18ft with 12 plastic foam filled dock floats that are 4ft x 4ft by 18 inches high and the Gazebo is 10 ft. Hexagon with a table and chairs.  Inside, under the table is my trolling motor so I can take it out to my favorite fishing hole. The trolling motor is remote controlled wireless so I can be fishing outside and operate the motor. 2 electric winches with 40# anchors. Built-in a water pump so I can clean the fish right on the spot. Now I can relax and fish while my wife can sit and relax.

Just like in "Jaws"; I think we're gonna need a bigger boat.

South Texas Rattlers in Love! Thanks Kris!

This was in Kaktovik. Can you imagine a worse time to have a slip and fall incident? I'll bet he wishes he could trade that camera in for a .458 H&H Magnum rifle! Thanks Dusty!

An ice wave photographed in 2002 in Antarctica by Tony Travouillon. Amazing! Thanks to Kristin!

Take A Drop!  There is a reason you don't go into the desert in Arizona looking for your golf ball!

This incredible ice took place in Versoix, a town close to Geneva City Switzerland. Leman Lake.

The photos aren't as clear as they could be, but are still amazing.  Apparently the cat gave up and the bull lived.

Rick Young writes: Here is a pic of my Blue Whitetail Buck I took on Christmas Eve 2007 in Texas. The best explanation of his color so far is something called Luecism. Apparently it is caused by an incomplete genetic code that helps to determine the color of the animal.

Never heard of a triple lock!  Any more info?  Thanks to Roger!

A Unibuck apparently shot near the Pittsburgh, PA. airport. Thanks William!

What a tremendous moose!  Anyone have further info about this giant? Just glad I didn't have to pack these antlers out on my back.  Thanks to Roger!

Here's the note that accompanied these photos:  "Check these shots out.  Don't know the story behind them.  Apparently someone north of Fort St. John took them."  Any info?  Thanks to Dusty!

Cindy and Rick Henke write: This deer was harvested with a bow on Dec. 30th by Jay Trudell of Delafield Wisconsin. Jay made a great hit on this deer. It expired inside of 50 yards.  On New Years Eve, Jay brought to deer to me to be butchered. I skinned it for a shoulder mount, stopping right behind the ear. The buck dressed out at 175 pounds and has a good layer of fat on it’s rump. Every indication was that this was a normal, healthy deer. I returned the head to Jay for mounting. After the taxidermist capped the skull, he cut the skull plate to remove the antlers. As he finished the cut, he hit metal. Jay got the skull and antlers back and cleaned them and brought them to be to show me what was inside the brain of this deer. The hide was completely healed and did not give away that there was an injury. The threaded portion of the head had snapped off.
The deer had been shot in a prior season with a Wasp Hammer broadhead. It entered the brain but did not kill the deer. It also passed through the hinge of the jaw and had grown over with bone and prevented the jaw from opening all but the smallest amount. The brain was infected around the puncture wound. I'm not sure which portion of the brain was injured but I suspect it was the part that helps the deer avoid a hunter.

Also from Cindy and Rick: There must be some less that lethal hunters where Jay hunts because 2 years prior to this, Jay's brother brought me a deer with a damaged hind quarter. Upon removing the meat from that deer I discovered a portion of a broadhead embedded in femur (hind quarter) I included the bone from the opposite (healthy) side of the same deer as a comparison. Both of these injuries were at least a year old. These are tough animals.

Kalispell Montana, Thanksgiving night, don't know much more than that, person set up a trail cam on this deer carcass thinking they might get pictures of a coyote, fox, bobcat possibly a cougar or a wolf but they got a lot more than they ever imagined.  Thanks to Brent!

Texas has a deer worth $1Million?
With a 46-point rack and a Boone and Crockett score of 334, it's hard to argue that a whitetail named Stickers isn't the biggest buck to ever consume protein in Texas. Sammy Nooner of Hondo brought Stickers home in February. Since then, fellow deer breeders have been speculating on the price tag. Some estimates involve seven figures for the 6-year-old monarch buck, whose semen fetches $4,000 to $5,000 per straw.

Sighting in your expensive new deer rifle
  1. Shiny new, high-powered deer rifle.............. $1,200.00
2. Quality, high-powered scope........................ $ 550.00
3. Bore sighting device..................................... $ 140.00
 4. Hospital Visit............................................... $4,893.00

5. Forgetting to remove the bore sighting device prior to shooting?
Priceless!

William submitted these photos of a buck weighing over 400 pounds!  Any details?

Here's how not to load your moose!!  No details. Thanks Brent!

Guys, Here is how my day started yesterday (11-29-2007).  Got a call that 2 bull elk were locked up and one was dead the other still alive. The bulls were in a field about 15 miles Northeast of Monticello. When I got there I actually found 2 bulls locked antlers... I thought this only happened in other areas...J. and I were going to tranquilize the bull and saw antlers...one  problem..we did not have enough of the drugs to do a good job. So we walked  out there and sawed the one point off of the dead bulls right antler and then we had to saw the main beam of the left antler to get the other bull free. The whale tail was over the bulls eyes, lodged between the eye guards. When we cut it free the bull stood there for awhile catching its breath with the piece of the antler still in it's antlers. When it took off the piece of antler came out...WOW! this was for sure one of the most memorable days....Enjoy the pics. TJ

This huge rattlesnake was killed in Texas at a gas plant.  Thanks William!

Karen from Big Al's Online writes: This is a picture of a turtle that one of our franchise stores acquired and below is a link to one of the many news stories about it.  I thought visitors to your website might be interested in a two headed red-eared slider turtle.  As you can see though, it's not your ordinary two headed turtle.

Some things you just have to see for yourself! Muzzleloader Season. You won't believe this one. I was hunting out in Sidney this past weekend for my muzzleloader buck. Well I got him. I'll make a long story short. First off, Mike kept telling me he saw a buck with an arrow through his head. I thought he was full of it, but he kept telling me he saw it again. Saturday evening we saw this buck jumping around going out of control from about 350 yards away. Mike told me it was probably the one with the arrow in its head. The buck was with another one that night. The next morning I sat up in the tree stand and waited, all of a sudden at about 10 minutes after sun up, there were two bucks that came right to the side of my stand, 30 yards. I saw the arrow instantly and didn't know what to think. Anyways, he ended up giving me a shot and I took him.  Looks like the arrow was in there probably at least a couple months or more. No blood or anything and you could move the arrow.  Thanks Duane!

This is a droptine growing out of the Kansas buck's eye socket! Thanks Duane and Brent!

Here is a deer that got caught on the fence at the State Veterans Cemetery in Casper. Thanks Benton!

Brent writes: Here is a picture of a special city deer that we all enjoy seeing around. I took the pictures of him in velvet at the end of July and a friend of mine's wife or daughter (the Brannan's) took the others just this week in their back yard. He is thought to be around 35" wide some pictures make him look bigger though, he has been around town for at least 3 years and everybody keeps a close eye on him so he stays around.

Baby Moose 12 Hours Old - Born in the middle of downtown Naubinway, Michigan. Thanks to Duane.

These fellas found this button buck swimming a mile and a half from shore.  Not sure where this occurred. They turned him loose when they got back to shore..he was soooo tired and was glad to get into their boat and rest!  Thanks Dusty!

These elk photos are apparently from Dixon, Montana.  Pretty amazing that both would get "wired".  Thanks to Dusty.

This young bull near Big Sky, Montana found his first "love"!

At first glance this elk looks normal, but as we took a second look we noticed that his right horn comes out of his forehead. We found this elk while bow hunting near Cody, Wy.  Berta from Riverton Wy

This is an Australian Scrub Python pulling a kangaroo out of the water. Talk about a maneater! This picture is from Western Australia. Take a careful look at this picture.....see the size of the snake and the kangaroo being pulled out of  the water! Thanks Brent!

A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee, NV)  on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge  of the bridge.  Somehow the bear caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety.  (WOW) Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge. After securing a net under the bridge the bear was tranquilized, fell into the net, was lowered, then woke up and walked out of the net, none the worse for wear. Thanks Brent!

Don’t know if they’re true or not, but that’s one impressive moose…Thanks to Louis.

New interesting pics of a moose...again a big thanks to Louis!

This Sturgeon was caught on the Willamette River just below Oregon City in February 2006. It weighed out at over 1,000 lbs and measured out at 11'1". It was 56" around the girth and took over 6 and a half hours for the 4 guys taking turns reeling.

Don't know much about these pics other than it's being touted as a 540 score rack!  It's BIG! Anybody have any info?  Some say this bull is from a game farm in Canada.  It sure has the "game farm" look!

A pinto deer!  Portage County, just north of Junction City, Wisc.

HERE'S A GREAT MOOSE STORY
When this little guy was young; he lost his mother too soon.  So the Fish and Game brought him to Wendall and Debbie. They asked them to get him raised to a safe age to turn him loose again. So they bottle fed and took care of him; after a while they fed him with their cows.  So last Spring he was a year old ... and it was time to turn him back into the wild. Opened the gate and off he went.  Stayed gone all summer; then this fall he was back with the cows. He really thinks he is a cow for now.  All were happy to see him as he is pretty friendly.  He loves honey buns and will eat them right out of your mouth. Wendall and Debbie live right up in the mountains so it came time to bring the cows down.  Well the moose was lonely all by himself so he headed down to find another heard of cows to hang with.  The neighbors called about a week later and asked Wendall to please come and get his Moose. So he headed out with a honey bun, bucket of grain and the horse trailer and brought him back home. The moose is free to go anytime he wants but is choosing to stay put for now. Surely, come spring he will start to feel a bit like a male Moose and take off but, for now he is happy.

This man had a small coyote problem...things are better now! Thanks to Duane!

This is not your Sesame Street Big Bird!  Thanks to Brent and Brian. Based on information provided in a number of emails, these pictures were taken by a Finnish nature photographer named Pekka Komis,
and it was taken in the southern part of Finland.

This is the new record in Canada. He caught it on Rainy Lake.
Check this thing out. The last picture is unbelievable!
This guy was fishing and caught a 36" Pike.
As he was reeling it in, a 56" Pike tried to eat it!!!!!
He brought them both in on the same net.
Awesome catch on a river in Canada - 55lbs - 56 inches.

Here are a couple pics from last fall. Put the camera on a wallow and this is what showed up. Also a pic from last spring and a decent bear that would only show up at night. Submitted by Jade T. Butler, Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

According to the internet rumor, this buck was taken by a 14 year old Amish boy near Dalton WI. One of these photos appeared in American Hunter Magazine.  These photos were sent in by Wanda in Lander. A huge buck never-the-less!

Only Wimps Use ATVs to Get Their Deer Out of the Woods!  Thanks Dusty!

The guy in the picture raised the moose from a first born to this and it will not leave. A train had hit the mother and the baby moose shot out. He took it home and nursed it. It stayed around with his horses and slept in the barn. He started harnessing it with his horses and when they died the moose still would not leave so he used him for his work. The moose will not even leave during the rut season. This guy lives up in Canada in a very remote area.  Thanks Dusty!

This Mountain Lion was shot in Oregon. How would you like to mosey around a
corner on a trail and come face to face with THIS big guy?!?
Thanks Duane!

Want to thank Dusty and Brent for sending in these photos.  These were apparently taken in Michigan's UP, where wolves are about as popular as they are here in Wyoming.

More Albino moose!  Photos taken in Canada.  Thanks again Louis.  Very rare to see two together.

Photo of a weird walleye. It was caught on Echo Lake, near Ft. Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan Jan. 2006. It has obviously survived well, even with a crooked spine. It weighed about 3 lbs. George, J R Sports, Regina, Sask.

Here’s a photo of an Albinos Moose shot this fall in Quebec, Canada. The location was “ZEC des Sables”. Thanks to Louis.

Here is a picture of a deer taken last year near the Yellowstone Ranch, on the Beaver Creek near Lander.  It's not an albino but close. Submitted by Becky Shepard from Lander.

The story that was attached said this occurred in Africa and a rancher was losing sheep.  Tried other fences before installing the electric fence.  Found out what was eating his sheep alright. Check out the teeth on this African Rock Python. Submitted by Jeffrey Haakinson. Thanks to Tom for the specifics.

This bull was taken by Mark Rose on 9/13/03, near Rapid on the Alaska Peninsula. The official entry score is 247-7/8 which ranks #15 All-time. The bull with the greatest spread in the records book is 81-4/8. Thanks Duane for the photo submission and Brent for the info.

Not much info, I believe Three Lakes WI, one of them had over 21 points, that’s all I got.
Submitted by Brent Wilkes.

Here's a buck with a toenail problem!  Can you imagine tracking this guy? Thanks to Brent Wilkes for the pic.

These guys were trolling with downriggers on Montana's Fort Peck and look what they caught!  Biologists figure the bull was probably shot and went into the water and died. Thanks Kirk!

Re: Elk pics in Montana's Fort Peck....I was just browsing your website and saw pictures of the elk next to the boat in the water.  The pictures say Montana's Fort Peck, however that's not where the pictures were taken.  That elk was killed on the banks of the Columbia River in Washington State during the fall salmon fishery near Hanford Nuclear Reserve.  The elk was shot in the head with a 22 on the bank of the river during low water and when the dam flushed water during the day, it swept the elk into the river as the river level came up.  The Hanford Nuclear Reserve holds a large heard of elk that come down to the river for water, and that's when the elk was shot...  Just wanted to clear that up. Travis

FAIRBANKS ALASKA (October 17) - A bull moose was suspended 50 feet in the air after its antlers became tangled in a  power line under construction southeast of Fairbanks. The incident  happened on October 5 on the Pogo Mine Road. The moose apparently became tangled in electrical wires while the line, under construction to the Teck-Pogo gold mine about 80 miles southeast of Fairbanks, was close to the ground. Workers noticed something wrong after tightening the line, and backtracked to find the moose hanging by its antlers. The moose was alive when it
