Does Rome 2 have a Steam workshop? ›

The Rome II Steam Workshop is a directory of user created modifications for the game that can alter many different areas of the game, from simple balance mods to adding new units to changing the graphics in the game.

It seems like Rome is the easiest, the nomad tribes seem to be most likely to be the hardest to play as.

In a Province, there is the Capital, and 1-3 Subsidiary cities. Buildings a Red, for Military production, Green, for Food, Yellow, for Commerce, Purple , for Temples, and Brown, for Industry, and Blue for Ports. The biggest Temples can only be built in your Capital. This is VERY important late game.

In the Steam Client (beta), you can access your Workshop Collections on your game's Properties > Workshop page under Advanced Options.

Most fun: Macedon, they seem like THE strong all around faction to me. More so than Rome. Rome and Athens follow closely behind. Most boring: Colchis, I don't think they offer anything to the game that the Seleucid's don't.

Ultimately, Rome 2 is an empire building game. Because of this, it takes liberties with historical accuracy in the campaign- despite each faction's start position giving the player a good foundation of knowledge for the period.

Rome 1 is freaking amazing, but its very simplistic in its design and can be seen as a more leisure/fun experience when compared to 2. The map is small, campaigns are shorter and easier and it has a lot of mechanics that can only be seen as subjectively better or worse depending on the player.

You can access the game directory if you don't know it by entering steam, going to the game's properties, Installed Files, and hit Browse... The mod should then appear in the Mod Manager when you launch.
